CPST has received a grant via the Bendigo Staff and Directors grants scheme. Twice a year the staff and Directors of Bendigo are asked to nominate a community organisation to which a grant could be made. CPST was fortunate to receive the nomination from Sara Granpayeh, a lovely young lady at the Lindfield branch. The picture shows Sara presenting the Bill Soper, our club secretary/treasurer, with the $1,000 (look alike) cheque.
Some Cttee members were invited to the Bendigo presentations evening which was held at the St Ives Bowling club and CPST was one of 17 local community organisations receiving similar grants. It was a grand and inspiring evening, with both good conversation and food shared a plenty.
The Bendigo funds will be used to help with the purchase of the new 100 inch TV screen in Dean’s room. This new screen will be good for us all as not only is it larger it is also clearer than the old TV – both will help us all in viewing the screen. If you have the opportunity you should take the opportunity to see the new screen.
